  • NAS- stands for “National Aerospace Standards.”
  • 42- The most current Revision Level for the 42 series is Revision Level 11. The 42 series is used for rivets.
  • 43- The most current Revision Level for the 43 series is Revision Level 12. The 43 series is used for screws and bolts.
  • DD- Indicates the type of material used. DD indicates 2024-T3 aluminum alloy. Any time you see DD, you know that the product is aluminum and not steel.
  • HT- Indicates the type of material used. HT is 4130 alloy steel. Any time you see HT, you know the product is steel and not aluminum. All of our steel is heat treated and DFAR compliant.
  • Finish Code- Per Revision Level 7 and after, all part numbers must end with a finish code. Every NAS42 and NAS43 part number should end in either an “A,” “FC,” or “N.”
